Full surgical facilities are available with comprehensive anaesthesia monitoring for various procedures such as soft tissue surgery, dentals, routine neutering and other elective and non-elective operations.
Small animal surgical referrals
Our Llanidloes surgery offers a referral service, unique to the area. Dianne Batten BVM&S MRCVS CertSAS is a vet with over 20 years expertise in advanced small animal, orthopaedic and soft tissue surgery, e.g.

Hafren Veterinary Group is one of only 20 practices in the country to offer a complex orthopaedic operation called a sliding humeral osteotomy, which is an advanced technique used in the treatment of severe elbow osteoarthritis.
We have digital radiography facilities producing high grade detailed images to aid diagnosis. We also have the resource of endoscopy and both large and small animal ultrasound.
Our in house laboratories are equipped with state of the art haematology, biochemistry and electrolyte machines allowing for accurate blood test results usually within a few hours. This enables our vets to reach a diagnosis and plan treatment as efficiently as possible.
Other laboratory facilities include microscopy, urine analysis equipment and staining equipment for examination of samples.
Purpose built kennel amenities providing comfortable and warm accommodation both before and after treatment.
Homeopathy and acupuncture
Both acupuncture and homeopathic treatments are available through referral to our VetFMHom qualified vet Jane Spreull.
